Funding opportunities serve different purposes. I start with your business, project and location, then check the current official guidance for opportunities worth considering.
Define the project
Describe the business problem, proposed AI or automation work, intended users, development needs and practical outcome. Separate the project from a general wish to use AI.
Research suitable routes
Use official grant and innovation-funding sources to identify potential opportunities. Record the source, status, deadlines and questions that need clarification.
Review the published criteria
Compare the stated requirements with information you provide about the applicant, location, project activity, partners and costs. Flag gaps for confirmation with the funder.
Prepare the technical scope
Organise the proposed work into deliverables, stages, dependencies and a realistic technical approach that can support an application or supplier discussion.
Support original drafting
Help structure the project explanation and prepare drafts using your actual evidence. Your business reviews the claims, figures and final submission.
Find the official starting points
You can research opportunities directly using GOV.UK Find a grant, the Innovation Funding Service and the business finance and support finder.
An AI-related project is not automatically eligible. Opportunity-specific requirements, eligible costs, applicant status, deadlines and any contribution or collaboration conditions must be checked in the current funder's guidance.

Understand the applicant & idea
Discuss your business, location, project stage and intended work. Identify the information needed to assess potential opportunities.

Review current primary sources and compare relevant criteria. Document potential fit, important conditions and points needing the funder's confirmation.

Agree the preparation scope
If you choose to proceed, define the technical brief, evidence, drafting or review help, responsibilities and fee before that work begins.

Prepare for your final review
Organise the agreed materials and identify outstanding evidence or questions. Your authorised applicant approves the final information and submission arrangements.
Research may conclude that no suitable live opportunity has been identified. I explain that finding before you invest time in an unsuitable application; the current funder guidance remains the reference for availability and eligibility.

You are commissioning my research or preparation work. I do not provide grant money, act as the funder's assessor or guarantee eligibility, an award or reimbursement of my fee. Project implementation is a separate service and is quoted separately.

I'm Michael, the sole owner of Creative Apple Solutions Ltd. I personally plan and deliver each project, drawing on website design and development experience built since 2001. I hold engineering and master's degrees in computing, both completed with distinction, and I primarily live and work in the UK.
I support projects worldwide, including Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Thailand, the USA and Poland. Funding eligibility is assessed for the particular applicant and opportunity, independently of where I provide project support.

Separate the opportunity from the promise.
Do you offer grants or guarantee an award?
No. I provide paid research and preparation support. The relevant funder determines the rules, applicant eligibility, assessment and award. My help does not give an application preferred status.
Is every AI or automation project eligible for funding?
No. Calls have specific purposes and conditions. I review the actual proposed work against the current guidance; using an AI tool or commissioning a website feature is not enough on its own to establish eligibility.
Can I look for opportunities without paying you?
Yes. Official services such as Find a grant, the Innovation Funding Service and the GOV.UK business support finder can be used directly. My paid service is for businesses that want help researching fit, explaining the technical project or preparing agreed materials.
Can you write the application for me?
I can scope drafting or review help using information and evidence supplied by your business. You must check the truth of the claims, figures and declarations and approve the final materials. Submission assistance, if needed, must be agreed within the funder's rules and your authorisation.
Can the grant pay for your services or the AI implementation?
That depends on the opportunity's eligible-cost rules and timing. I do not assume either is covered. Check the funder's current guidance before committing expenditure or treating a fee as reimbursable.
What if no suitable opportunity is available?
The research records that finding and any relevant restrictions or future questions. My fee covers the work commissioned, rather than the availability of funding or the result of an application.
