About SML Tree & Hedge Services
SML Tree & Hedge Services - Professional Tree Surgery with a Personal Touch
SML Tree & Hedge Services is a trusted name in tree and hedge care across the UK, known for delivering exceptional service with integrity, skill, and environmental awareness. With over a decade of experience, the company offers expert tree felling, hedge trimming, stump removal and emergency callouts – all backed by £2 million full insurance and a deep respect for nature.
Founded and led by Sylwester, a tree surgeon with international credentials and a genuine passion for arboriculture, SML Tree & Hedge Services brings together the strength of hands-on expertise with a dedication to customer satisfaction. Sylwester’s journey spans professional tree work across Europe and Canada, enriching the business with global standards and techniques.
What truly sets the company apart is its eco-conscious approach – they proudly recycle all green waste, turning felled trees into useful by-products rather than landfill. Whether that means wood chippings, firewood or materials for bespoke furniture makers, their work is rooted in sustainability.
Clients value the friendly, transparent service and attention to detail. Each project is carried out with care, precision and respect for the environment and surroundings.
Today, SML Tree & Hedge Services continues to grow rapidly thanks to its strong foundation in professionalism, passion and innovative thinking – delivering not just services but complete peace of mind.
Project Story
Sylwester, the founder of SML Tree & Hedge Services, contacted me in early 2024 to discuss his business presentation and an existing website that needed a clearer direction.
I worked directly with him to understand the tree and hedge services, visual identity and customer information the new website should bring together. The brief expanded into a coordinated website, logo and supporting brand materials.
The client requested full brand development including:
- Professional Bespoke Website
- Logo Design Including Full Branding
- Design & Print: Business Cards, Leaflets, Posters
- Setup of Google Business Profile and Social Media Accounts
- Branded Merchandise
- Business Development Advice and Marketing Consultation
I connected the visual identity, website and supporting marketing materials so the business could present its services consistently. I also discussed practical ways to use the website, social profiles and project content after launch.
The finished work gives SML Tree & Hedge Services an organised platform for its service information, project examples and enquiries. This case study describes the design and development delivered, rather than promising a particular level of business growth.

I’m genuinely impressed with what Michał and his team delivered. From our first meeting, they understood my industry, my goals, and the image I wanted for my business. They created a stunning logo, a beautiful, mobile-friendly website, and even helped me set up social media and marketing materials that work.
Michał gave me great advice throughout — not just on design, but also on how to grow my business and attract more clients. Thanks to their support, I’ve expanded my team, invested in better equipment and started selling timber for extra income.
Creative Apple didn’t just build a website — they built my brand. I’m proud of how my business looks and performs online. I highly recommend their services to anyone serious about growth and professionalism.

Questions about this tree-services website.
Clear answers from me, Michael, before you decide on your next step.
What does the SML Tree & Hedge Services project show?
The case study presents the website and visual identity described for a tree and hedge services business, with service information and project imagery.
Why does the service structure matter for a trade business?
Clear service information helps visitors understand what a business offers and how to enquire. I plan that structure around the actual work and audience.
Can another local trade use this as a starting point?
Yes. Share the structure or visual approach you like, together with your own services and operating area. I plan original content and design for your business.
Can photographs of my own work be included?
Your own suitable project photographs can inform a new brief. I agree image supply, usage and preparation as part of the scope.
Do the project examples guarantee local Google visibility?
No. The case study documents website work; it is not a guarantee of rankings, traffic or enquiries for another business.
Who will I work with on a similar website?
You work directly with me, Michael. I discuss the requirements and agree the website deliverables before I start.
Questions & Answers
What’s the average cost of a website?
My current website packages start at £300 for an HTML5 Starter website, £500 for HTML5 Business, £500 for WordPress Starter and £1,000 for WordPress Business. These are the 50% promotional package prices; the standard package schedule is twice those amounts.
Each package has defined inclusions and limits. Bespoke work is quoted separately. My fees are total prices in GBP with no VAT added. View the current website packages and scope.
What do I get when I pay for a website?
The written quote confirms the pages, features, initial content, review rounds, checks and handover included. I also identify what you need to supply and any hosting, licences or provider costs. Extra pages, copywriting, integrations or ongoing work are included only when specified.
What are the most important visual elements of a website?
Colour, typography, imagery, spacing and layout work together to make the information clear and consistent with your brand. I use those elements to establish a useful visual hierarchy and guide visitors towards the relevant next step.
What does UI stand for in web development?
UI means user interface: the visible and interactive parts of a website, including navigation, buttons, forms and page controls. I focus on clear labels, consistent layouts and practical interaction patterns.
What does UX mean in web design?
UX means user experience: how people understand and use a website to complete a task. I consider the information, navigation and next steps together so visitors can find what they need with less friction.
Why should a website be mobile-friendly?
Responsive layouts adapt the presentation to different screen sizes. I check the agreed page layouts and interactions on representative desktop and mobile sizes. Clear content, readable text and usable controls remain important at every size.
What’s the difference between graphic design and web design?
Graphic design develops visual communication such as identities, printed materials and artwork. Web design also considers navigation, interaction, responsive layouts and implementation. I connect the visual identity with the practical requirements of the website.
How quickly can you build a basic website?
I agree the schedule after the pages, features and required content are clear. The platform, product or language quantities, integrations and review rounds all affect the work. I identify what I need from you and confirm the planned stages in the quote.
What’s the timeframe for building a website for a small business?
I agree the schedule after the pages, features and required content are clear. The platform, product or language quantities, integrations and review rounds all affect the work. I identify what I need from you and confirm the planned stages in the quote.
How long does it take to develop an online shop?
I agree the schedule after the pages, features and required content are clear. The platform, product or language quantities, integrations and review rounds all affect the work. I identify what I need from you and confirm the planned stages in the quote.
What’s usually included in web design services?
The written quote confirms the pages, features, initial content, review rounds, checks and handover included. I also identify what you need to supply and any hosting, licences or provider costs. Extra pages, copywriting, integrations or ongoing work are included only when specified.
Is it possible to make a website without coding?
Many platforms let you manage content without writing code. The right choice depends on the features, design and editing workflow you need. I can explain the options, build the agreed solution and include appropriate handover guidance.
What is a CMS, and do I need one?
A content management system lets you manage pages and other content through an administration area. WordPress is one option I work with; a static HTML build or Shopify may suit a different requirement. I recommend an approach after understanding the brief and ongoing editing needs.
Should I go for a custom website or use a pre-made template?
I compare the required design, features, editing workflow and budget before recommending an approach. A suitable existing theme or template can be practical; a more bespoke design can address specific requirements. The quote makes clear what is being designed or adapted and any licence dependencies.
What makes a website easy to use?
Clear navigation, readable content, consistent controls and a useful next step help people complete tasks. I look at the structure and interactions together, then check the relevant layouts and functions within the agreed scope.
Is mobile optimisation really necessary today?
Responsive layouts adapt the presentation to different screen sizes. I check the agreed page layouts and interactions on representative desktop and mobile sizes. Clear content, readable text and usable controls remain important at every size.
Does website speed affect my business?
Speed affects how comfortable a website is to use. I can review images, scripts, caching and relevant hosting constraints, then scope improvements. Results depend on the site and its providers, so I do not promise a fixed performance score.
Can you help with SEO during the web design process?
I can include agreed technical and on-page SEO work, such as page structure, metadata and relevant content organisation. An ongoing SEO plan is a separate scope where needed. Search positions, featured answers and traffic are not guaranteed.
Do you design websites for clients in Stockport or Manchester?
I am based in the UK and work directly with clients locally and internationally. My projects include the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Thailand, the USA and Poland. I can arrange the discussion remotely and agree any in-person meeting in advance.
Why should I hire a professional instead of building a site myself?
Working with me gives you direct access to the person planning, designing and implementing the agreed work. I help define the scope, explain the choices and check the result before handover. You can review my portfolio and decide whether my approach fits your project.
