WORDPRESS WEBSITE MAINTENANCE
Keep the routine website jobs in capable hands.
Scheduled updates and useful backups help you look after the website your business depends on. Choose a WordPress maintenance plan with a clear schedule and a defined level of human support.
You work directly with me, Michael. For an existing business website or WooCommerce shop, I start by checking the setup and agreeing the care it needs.
Plans from £50 per month. Total service fees in GBP, with no VAT added.
- Scheduled software care
- Scheduled website backups
- Defined UK business-hours support
CARE THAT CONTINUES AFTER LAUNCH
Your website keeps changing, even when you are busy elsewhere.
WordPress, plugins and themes receive updates. Backups need checking. A new integration or content change can introduce a problem long after the original website was built.
A maintenance plan gives those routine tasks a schedule and a record. You know what is being checked, what support is included and when a separate decision or project is needed.
- Keep software care on an agreed schedule.
- Maintain a defined set of recovery points.
- Receive a clear monthly maintenance summary.
- Use an agreed allowance for small fixes on higher plans.
THE FOUNDATION OF EACH PLAN
Routine care, with practical checks around it.
Managed updates
Review and apply compatible WordPress, theme and plugin updates on the plan schedule. Confirm a recovery point and check agreed key pages after the maintenance session.
Scheduled backups
Create one off-site website backup per month on Essential or Business Care, or two per month on Enhanced Care. I agree the backup destination and review completion; storage-provider costs, if required, are confirmed separately.
Checks after maintenance
I check the agreed key pages after a managed update session and record any issues found. Further investigation and repair work follow the plan's support terms.
A readable care record
Receive a monthly summary of completed maintenance, available backups, issues found during scheduled work and anything requiring a further decision.
MONTHLY WORDPRESS CARE
Choose the schedule and support your website needs.
Each plan covers one accepted WordPress installation. I review existing problems and required access before onboarding; complex stores, multisite and bespoke systems may need a tailored proposal.

A CONSIDERED HANDOVER INTO CARE
Start with a website I understand.
01
Review the setup
I check the platform, software, hosting access and existing issues. Any remedial work needed before routine care begins is quoted separately.
02
Agree the plan
I confirm the schedule, key journeys, backup destination, support allowance, account access and renewal or cancellation terms in writing.
03
Establish the baseline
I record the starting position, agree the update and backup dates, and confirm how you should send support requests.
04
Maintain & report
Routine work follows the plan schedule. I check the outcome, report notable issues and quote separately for tasks beyond the plan.
Updates are reviewed for compatibility. Higher-risk changes may need a separate test environment, an agreed maintenance window or a revised plan before they are applied.

WEBSITE CARE QUESTIONS
Understand the plan before it starts.
Can you maintain a website built by another developer?
Yes, subject to an initial review and suitable WordPress and hosting access. I identify existing faults, unsupported software or other issues before accepting the site. Work needed to bring it into a maintainable condition is quoted separately.
When do you carry out maintenance and support?
Maintenance follows the schedule of your chosen plan. Human review, support and work take place during my UK business hours. These plans do not include continuous monitoring or a guaranteed round-the-clock response or resolution service.
What do the monthly fix allowances include?
Business Care includes 30 minutes and Enhanced Care includes 60 minutes each month for agreed small fixes or content changes that fit the existing website. I confirm suitability before using the allowance. Unused time does not carry forward. New features, redesigns and larger development tasks require a separate quote.
What happens if an update causes a problem?
I check the agreed key functions after the managed update session. If an applied update introduces a problem, I investigate and use the agreed rollback or recovery route where available. Deeper pre-existing compatibility issues, replacement software or redevelopment may need a separate approved scope.
Are backups guaranteed to recover every change or order?
No. Recovery points follow the plan's backup schedule and retention. Changes made after the latest successful backup may not be present. A busy shop may need more frequent database backups or a different recovery arrangement, which I can discuss before onboarding.
Does maintenance include malware cleanup or a major website repair?
The plans include scheduled software care and backups, rather than unlimited incident recovery. Malware cleanup, a compromised hosting account, major repairs and larger security remediation are quoted separately unless explicitly included in a tailored agreement.
Are hosting and paid licences included?
They are separate unless the written proposal specifically includes them. I confirm required hosting, domains, licences and storage arrangements before onboarding. The maintenance prices shown are my total service fees and no VAT is added.
Can I change or end the plan?
I confirm the renewal, cancellation and handover terms in your written proposal before the service starts. If your website changes or becomes busier, I can review the plan and agree a more suitable scope.
